The Lechita Forest

As a child my uncle would often tell me stories. One night as I lay in bed, I was feeling quite brave. I'd asked uncle to tell me a scary story. "A scary story? Are you sure?" He'd asked, quite surprised and perhaps even a little proud of the courage his dear nephew had shown. "Yes uncle!" I said, unaware of the gruesome tale to come. "Very well." replied uncle, adjusting himself at the edge of my bed as he pieced the memories together in his mind.

"In my home country, hidden from the maps there is a woodland my ancestors called, 'Lechita Forest'."
